From the front porch, this stately log home’s primary feature seems to be its stunning site looking up at the Tetons, with only a buckrail fence and a horse pasture between you and the mountains. Step inside and find your attention diverted by the contemporary décor (the home’s eponymous dragonflies appear throughout).The surprises begin as soon as you unlock the front door, which opens onto a family room marked by a luxurious white leather sectional, a zebra rug and a shuffleboard table. A large flat-screen TV nearly fills one wall. Cubbies invite storing goods, and a slate floor offers ease. The family room connects to the adjacent 2-car garage, making the space a hub of activity. Two rooms lead from the family room: a laundry cum powder room with a washer and dryer, deep basin sink, subway tile floors, ironing table and toilet; and the first bedroom, which features two queen beds backed by dragonfly upholstered headboards, a plush armchair and ottoman, a generous closet and southern views of the mountains. The ensuite bathroom, paneled in wood, offers a green marble shower and matching vanity, and more dragonfly accents.

Leave the family floor and climb half a flight of stairs to find the log-chinked, cathedral-ceilinged great room, encircled by picture windows and anchored by a gas rock fireplace. Vignettes ring the fireplace, starting with the dining area and its antler base table topped by glass and surrounded by six seats with crocodile cushions. A metal pendant hangs above the table, and a large photograph of turning Aspens decorates the wall. The open kitchen overlooks the dining and living areas with its rich granite countertops, darkwood cabinets, modern appliances and island flanked by two stools. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the sweeping vista, and two more walls boast windows. The fireplace faces the living area with its pair of curved leather couches and modular coffee table made up of geometric side tables. A pair of armchairs in matching animal prints creates a sophisticated nook, while the velvet-topped card table with four chairs encourages gaming. A deck, off the kitchen and dining area, beckons with an outdoor table, gas grill, hot tub and further beyond on the gracious lawn, a fire pit.

A flight of stairs leads to three more bedrooms; an impressive buffalo photograph greets from the landing. A detached bath features a thick granite countertop, a glass shower lined with river rocks and a dragonfly stool. The first upstairs bedroom offers two bunk beds – four twins total – wrapped in duvets and accented by wildlife pillows. A closet and wildlife photography round out the room. The second bedroom presents a king bed tucked under duvets, a chest of drawers, a flat-screen TV, armchair and closet.

The modern master suite boasts a king bed wrapped in a duvet, a flat-screen TV, sleek armoire, cherry desk and a decorative metal mirror. A private deck lures guests outside with chairs to take in the panorama. The ensuite bathroom features ivory marble, a Jacuzzi tub, glass shower, double vanity, separate toilet and a walk-in closet with built-in shelves.

Skyline Ranch sits between Teton Village and downtown Jackson, offering easy and quick access to both hubs. A private development, the neighborhood is home to many Jackson locals, making it a truly authentic valley experience.
