Guests visiting Jackson Hole over the winter look forward to a great mountain experience in a unique destination. In addition to world class skiing and riding, there are many other reasons to visit this winter. Jackson Hole offers the ultimate culmination of a mountain experience and fine dining. Next week, JH Food and Wine presents its second annual Winterfest food and wine festival February 28-March 2, 2019. This event takes place in Teton Village and is highlighted by several signature events:

Big Wines, Small Plates: This event hosted by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a unique dinner experience featuring a series of small plates illuminating the magical synergy of food and wine. The illustrious panel will take you on a journey of their culinary moments that influenced these exceptional pairings. Chef Michael Britton of Piste Mountain Bistro will collaborate with Richard Blais, Guest Chef, and his team to create a fabulous tasting menu brilliantly matched with a stunning collection of wines.

Cocktail Codex Master Class - Hosted by Il Villaggio Osteria.Famed mixologist Alex Day will walk you through how to shake, stir and mix the perfect signature cocktail using top-shelf spirits provided Edrington. By the end of this hands-on class, you’ll bring home newfound bartending skills sure to impress at your next dinner party. To top things off you, will receive your very own copy of Day’s Cocktail Codex: Origins, Fundamentals, Formulas (Ten Speed Press).

Wine Dinner at 9000ft - Hosted by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This event is the ultimate evening of food and wine you will not want to miss. To quote guest Chef Richard Blais,“I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s festival, and am especially excited to cook at 9,000 feet on top of the mountain,” Blais said. “I’ll be creating some exciting new dishes, like a lobster and ginger ravioli with sherry shellfish butter, as well as a few others that I’ll keep a surprise!” This is going to be a unique and intimate evening of food and wine never to be repeated again...you will not want to miss this!  

Guest Chef Richard Blais is a successful chef, restaurateur, James Beard nominated cookbook author and television personality. Perhaps most recognizable as a recurring judge on Bravo’s Top Chef and the winner of Top Chef All-Stars, Blais graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and trained at The French Laundry, Daniel, Chez Panisse, and el Bulli. In San Diego, where he currently resides, Blais is a partner at the popular Juniper & Ivy and Crack Shack restaurants, the latter of which is expanding to multiple locations throughout California.

Taste of Teton Village - Best of Après Ski - Hosted by Four Seasons Resort & Residences Jackson Hole. Taste of Teton Village offers guests an exclusive chance to experience a diverse range of signature après–ski dishes prepared by the best of the West Bank’s culinary community. This walk-around tasting features 13 top restaurants serving their favorite winter inspired dishes, while multiple beverage booths pour over 75 selections of wine, beer, and cocktails. Local DJ Rocky Vertone will be spinning some tunes to get you in the Après frame of mind!
