It's Opening Day! Welcome back for another winter filled with cold smoke, stoke and smiles abundant.

Secure your tickets in advance. Availability is limited and dates may sell out.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is pleased to announce the kickoff of the 2025-26 winter season with three lifts on Opening Day, Thursday, Dec. 4. The resort’s continuous snowmaking efforts, coupled with 65 inches of snowfall on the summit and 34 inches mid-mountain, have combined to give visitors coverage across much of the north side of the resort.

JMHR will open a variety of terrain connected by three lifts on Opening Day: Teewinot, Après Vous, and the Sweetwater Gondola up to the Mid-Station. Using these three lifts, visitors will have the opportunity to access a collection of beginner and intermediate terrain. Early season conditions still exist, and all guests are advised to stay out of closed areas and look for hazards.

The Aerial Tram will also be open for sightseeing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Dec. 5-7, with tickets available online. Corbet’s Cabin - the highest-altitude restaurant in Wyoming and the second-best ski restaurant in North America, according to USA Today - will serve its signature Top of the World Waffles during those times for guests.

JHMR hopes to announce additional terrain and lift openings for the weekend of Dec. 6-7, or sooner if conditions allow. The 2025-26 winter season will last 129 days, until April 12. This season marks the 60th Anniversary for JHMR, and the Resort will celebrate this season with a series of signature events, including the 60th Anniversary celebration on Dec. 19.

“We’re excited to kick off Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s 60th Anniversary season, a milestone that would not have been possible without the passion and hard work of our Mountain Operations team,” said Jackson Hole Mountain Resort CEO Doug Pierini. “With more snow in the forecast, we can’t wait to welcome our first guests on Thursday and share some incredible days on the mountain together this winter. As we all know, there’s no bad day on snow, and this season promises plenty of memorable moments for everyone."

JHMR is once again limiting the sale of daily tickets and managing capacity in 2025-26, greatly improving guests’ experiences on the mountain and throughout the resort. JHMR emphasizes that ticket sales are limited on a daily basis and are available for advanced purchase, and that tickets may sell out. Due to demand, JHMR encourages all skiers and riders to make reservations as required for its multi-resort pass products or purchase day tickets in advance.

Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective pass holders are required to make reservations for lift access. JHMR recommends making reservations well in advance. Guests who purchased a JHMR Winter 2025-26 Season Pass can ski or ride on any day indicated by their pass type.

Guests will see a continued focus on safe skiing and riding across the mountain this winter, especially as early-season conditions and limited terrain remain in effect. The Resort’s Speed Wranglers and Ski Patrol staff will help to increase enforcement in slow zones and raise awareness of proper skiing and riding practices. JHMR reminds guests to observe designated rest areas where guests can stop safely, as well as lower-mountain Family Zones, with enhanced speed control measures and enforcement to accommodate the mix of abilities and age levels in these high-traffic areas.

The Resort will also host a full slate of activities as part of its Destination December celebration, beginning with the 3nd Annual Ski In Jeans Day Ski on Dec. 5. Guests are encouraged to don their favorite denim as they hit the slopes and enjoy special giveaways and activities, including mechanical bull riding, a vintage market, and Ripton and Pit Viper pop-ups in Teton Village. Lift tickets will cost just $25 for the event, and a three-day lift ticket for the entire weekend will cost just $199.

JHMR will also host the new Kids on Snow event from Dec. 12-14, during which all children 12 and under will ski for free the entire weekend, regardless of skill level. JHMR will close out 2025 with its 10-day Winterfest celebration from Dec. 21-31, during which guests will be treated to all the best free family activities the Resort has to offer during the holidays.

JHMR is proud to partner with Coca-Cola, Nature Valley, Monster Energy, Mammut, YETI, Gore-Tex Brand, GoPro, Smartwool, Kiehl’s, Buff, Turtlebox, Best Day Brewing, and Sentient Jet.
